Week 10

Back to Work!

We started making templates for the headlights. This way, once we get the body work we can use the templates to lay out the holes we need to cut into it. Just trying to stay one step ahead!

We had to remove the old mounting tabs in the frame so we could get the motor in.

Here is the other side with the old motor mounts removed.

Here is a shot of Sam and CJ trying to assemble the swing arm so we could see if the motor fit! We ended up doing this quite a few times before the end of the day.

Trying to figure out the shock linkage...

It just takes two to make a thing go right.

Finally, it's in.

We have a bit of a clearance issue due to the Husky's water pump at the top of the motor. We're going to have to figure something out for that so we can get the motor a bit more vertical. We tossed around a bunch of ideas so we'll have to see what works out.

We have to say this looks way better than the other motor mount idea. Now the torque won't be an issue either.

We're getting there. As always, we really appreciate your two cents.
