Week 12
The body work has arrived!
|
Thanks to Frank at Infinity Replicast GP Racing, we now have our body work! We are using the Honda RS 250, a.k.a. Pedrosa, body work.

Sam and Mike unwrapping our new box!

(D didn't tell them what was in the box.)

Mike holding the new Tail piece. Doesn't that look awesome?

Sam with the Belly pan...

Mike with the Upper...

This stuff was packed well but don't worry, we recycled the packing peanuts!

Mike L ,Sam, Mike R and D putting the whole thing together, yet again!
We have to see if the new welded parts are going to work...

Mike and Mike working on the front end yet again. I think we are all going to have to go to Daytona this year as a team; we can put this thing together in our sleep. D says we should get used to it because we are going to have to do it 100 more times before we are done.

This is a shot of some of the relief we made in the swing arm, so the suspension can fully pivot without hitting the engine.

This is a shot of the newly welded frame, where the water pump will tuck in.

Not to bad looking is it?

Everything is back together again, and it all seems to fit nicely. The motor's in a great place, too. It almost looks as though it's supposed to be there.

We have a ton of room now for the radiators...

Brandon working on fitting the tail piece to the tank...

D and Kate figuring out the front fender mounting spacers.
Here come the shots with the mocked on body work!

Front

We're trying to figure out how this stuff should hang on the frame. It is kind of tough to know what to use as reference points when the bodywork is for another bike.

Here is a shot of the back side...

So everything is on but the front fender. Personally, we think this is one incredible looking Hybrid. |
